Welcome to our blog! I'm Lily Graison, a romance author who, along with my fellow writers from Alinar Publishing, will be blogging here. They will be stepping in to introduce themselves shortly. I guess since I'm the first to post, I'll be the first to tell you a little about myself.

I've been writing for a little over 6 years now. I got my start like many others by delving into the world of fanfiction. That didn't last long though. Original characters kept popping up in my stories and before long, my desire to create new worlds outgrew my love for the characters I had been playing with. To date, I have 2 published stories out and a third, Destined Hearts, will be released February 24th with Alinar Publishing.

Writing is an escape for me. I get to live in worlds I can only imagine. It's frustrating and rewarding. I learn something new about the writing process every day and if you ever get a chance to read any of my first stories (which I hope you NEVER do! LOL) you'll be able to see. I've come a long way in 6 years and I can't wait until the day I can read one of my stories and be completely happy with it. I'm plagued with self doubt, something I'm trying to overcome, but I know the day is coming. The day I can read one of my stories and say yes. That's exactly the way it should be.

On a more personal note, I'm married (21 years now), have 2 grown children and 1 grandchild. I work a 40 hour a week job and long for the day I can retire and do nothing but play with my imaginary friends. I can only hope I won't be too old to care by then. hehehe
